Gotta have a friend in Jesus

When I die and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place that’s the best
Casey Anthony
The Casey & Caylee Anthony case has all the makings of an old fashion Murder Trial.  The public is blood-thirsty for news about the case.  What makes this case most interesting is the Mother who never reported her daughter missing.  Those of us that are mothers, know this is not normal.  In fact, it’s what nightmare’s are made of, when your child goes missing.  Caylee’s grandmother finally report the missing three (3) year old.

When I lay me down to die
People want to know what happened to the missing toddler?  We may never really know what happened to little Caylee.  Just like the Lindbergh kidnapping in 1932.  More questions than answers.

Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky
McCain Won Third Presidential Debate
McCain out did him self in the third Presidential debate.   While Senator Obama did everything he could to woe the audience with his so-called “charismatic” charm.  Senator McCain, stood his ground and defended his plan for the future of the United States.

Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky
It’s unfortunate the Obama has the twenty-something vote.  Apparently the twenty-somethings, don’t value experience.  Which is perfectly understandable if you’re someone who possesses no experience.  Why would you believe this is a vital and necessary requirement for someone who is going to run for the President of the United States.

That’s where I’m gonna go when I die
What’s more the experience and age difference between both Presidential Candidates only became apparent when Senator Obama was speaking to his lack of experience having only served in the senate 143 days (and with no military experience what’s so ever).  Senator McCain having over 26 years experience serving in the senate and 22 years in the military and coming from a long line of McCain’s who have served this country well.  Senator McCain has 26 more years of Life Experience than Senator Obama.  And has demonstrated his ability to take the bull by the horns where policy and issues that concern our country are concerned.   (Statistics comparing Senators McCain and Obama provided by William M. Briggs).

When things look down, look up!
Prayer Changes things, many people don’t realize this.  In a way, this is really a demonstration of a lack of faith.  If you really believed in God – asking Him for help would be effortless.  Because you’d know the help will be there – regardless.  Why not demonstrate your faith in God by sending Him a little hello! prayer today.  Or even try a bolder move and ask Him to help you with something in your life that you’re struggling with today.  You job concerns, your health, your family concerns….  No one is ever going to know (God is discreet like that!), it’ll only between you and God.

Gonna go to the place that’s the best!
Many Thanks to Norman Greenbaum for use of his Lyrics.

I just don’t understand…

Local News
Yesterday Local news reported the Casey Anthony’s indicted for the murder of her daughter Caylee Anthony.  Tragic, yes.  But is this another tragedy in the making?  There is a report that Casey will be representing herself.  Need I say any more??

Presidential Candidates
Both Obama and McCain are preparing for another Presidential Debate.  This is the third debate of it’s kind and it may be it’s last depending on the success of the debate.  This time it will be held in Hempstead, N.Y. at Hofstra University.  Bob Schieffer of CBS will moderate.  Theoretically, the general public believes Obama won the first two debates.  McCain has had less success winning over the swing votes and as a result he is taking a hard look at his proposed campaign and what he can do for the middle class.

News about Dad
Dad returned to the Senior Center today.  He was feeling a little tired.  We encouraged him to go anyway.  Because it’s got to be better for him than laying around the house.  He seems to be feeling better as well.  There is less coughing and hacking.  We’ve been giving Dad gobs of homemade chicken soup and lots of Florida grown oranges.  They both seem to be helping.

Prayer becoming More and More a part of Family Life
With all the stress of these times, Mortgage Crisis, Loss of Jobs, War Raging on, Government expenditures of 1 Billion a month on the war.  Prayer is becoming more and more a part of everyday families life.   Families know that times are difficult.  And as a result are begining to look up to God for help in everyday life.  “Today, my father and I bowed our heads and prayed to God for His blessing in these difficult times.” reported blog author of Family Gathers.   “We prayed for our needs and the needs of others.”  Noting that many other people are truly experiencing real suffering in this difficult economic crisis.

Nothing sums up the need for prayer like this expression “Life is fragile, Handle with prayer.”

Life is fragile, Handle with Prayer…

Results of Prayer Project
The results are back from the Prayer Project.  As a recap, I’m engaged in an on-line class on Prayer.  The Class began at the end of September.  One of our first projects was to start a small project involving planting seedlings.   All the seeds planted were Sage.  One Plant was chosen as the subject for the prayer project.  The Subject seedling were Prayed over.  The other three seeds planted were the control group (no prayers were said for this group).

The results were that the Subject blossomed on October 5th.  The control did not bloom until October 11th.  Thus the Subject that was prayed over, bloomed a full six (6) days before the control group.

Our project did demonstrate that prayer does make a significant difference.

The upcoming Presidential Election

What are the issues??  Here they are, not necessarily listed in the order of importance.  To learn more about each of these issues by Presidential Candidate please go to:  http://uspolitics.america.gov/uspolitics/elections/issues.html  We need to understand our each Candidate says they will address each issue.  And if the Candidate does not address the issue in an adequate way, we need to get them to address the full issue.

SNL and Tina Fey!
I’m still kicking myself for missing Saturday Night Live this last weekend.  I just love Tina Fey and her dramatization of Sarah Palin.  It’s really too funny.  I have SNL on the calendar for next weekend and I promise, I won’t miss it.

18 Million Voters
Most recently, I have been seeing a lot of flaming blogs by women who are completely outraged by the assumption that Hillary’s 18 million voters will be moving over to the Sara Palin team??  REALLY?  No, not really.  They just don’t get this women voter.  You know the articulate, intelligent, experienced female who finally in our maturity understands that a women would be an excellent president; with the right skill set of course.  We’re not just talking about just any body.  While Sarah Palin may be an excellent debater, It takes a lot more experience to make the grade.

Dad in Hospital
Dad is in the hospital again with another lung infection.  Please keep Dad in your prayers, as this is the third infection in just four months.  We hope we can get him over this infection permanently.  It’s always a little scary leaving Dad behind in the hospital.  He doesn’t remember why he’s there or if he will be allowed to go home soon.  It makes me a bit of a wreck worrying about him.

Prayers
Those of you following the prayer project will be happy to know that the “Love, Sage, Love” pot has started to blossom.  Here’s a pic for you to view.  Just as a recap, In a online forum I’m teaching about prayer, we have a little project where we pray over one plant and have a control group to compare against the other plants.   The object is to witness the difference prayer makes with the plants.  Thus far, our plant that we are praying over, has just thrown up a tiny little sprout.   The control group has not yielded any growth at all.  I realize this sounds a little bit simplistic.  However, when teaching people about Faith and prayer, the literal expression of prayer goes a long way to proving a point.

Wishing you all well this good day!
